AI Master's Student & Mathematician — AIMS Senegal

Hi, I'm Jérémie Mabiala. I studied math, and that led me to machine learning.

I'm doing a master's in machine intelligence (AMMI) at AIMS Senegal. Before that, I got a master's in mathematical sciences from Stellenbosch University and AIMS South Africa. I like ML theory, NLP, computer vision, optimization, and LLMs and their applications. More broadly, I'm curious about almost anything in AI and math.

I used to teach lab sessions in math and computer science at the University of Kinshasa. Now I help run Python, PyTorch, and machine learning bootcamps at AIMS Senegal. Teaching something is how I really learn it.

Bonjour, je suis Jérémie Mabiala. J'ai fait des maths, et c'est comme ça que j'ai découvert le machine learning.

Je suis en master d'intelligence artificielle (AMMI) à l'AIMS Sénégal. Avant ça, j'ai fait un master en sciences mathématiques à l'Université de Stellenbosch et à l'AIMS Afrique du Sud. Ce que j'aime surtout : la théorie du ML, le NLP, la vision par ordinateur, l'optimisation, et les LLMs avec leurs applications. En fait, presque tout ce qui touche à l'IA et aux maths m'intéresse.

J'ai aussi donné des TP de maths et d'informatique à l'Université de Kinshasa. Aujourd'hui, j'aide à animer des bootcamps Python, PyTorch et machine learning à l'AIMS Sénégal. Enseigner, c'est ce qui m'aide le plus à bien comprendre.
