Jérémie N. Mabiala

AI Master's Student & Mathematician — AIMS Senegal

I’m Jérémie Mabiala, an AI master’s student in the African Master in Machine Intelligence (AMMI) program at AIMS Senegal.

I hold a Master’s in Mathematical Sciences from Stellenbosch University and AIMS South Africa (Feb 2024), where I focused on Mathematical Statistics and Functional Data Analysis. My thesis, Gaussian Processes for Multivariate Functional Data, is available in the AIMS Archive.

Previously, I earned a Bac+5 in Mathematics from the University of Kinshasa, graduating in the top 5% with “Grande Distinction.” I also served as a assistant lecturer for about one year.

My interests span mathematics, the theory of machine learning and deep learning, mathematical modeling, Optimization,Computer Vision, Natural Langiage ProcessingLLMs, and reinforcement learning, and their potential applications. I’m also a hobbyist developer and an apprentice writer.
